Wear OS 7 Is Coming to Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4 Very Soon, Verizon Confirms

Google announced Wear OS 7 less than a month ago, and it is already closer to shipping than anyone expected. Verizon has published changelogs for Wear OS 7 updates across three Pixel Watch models, strongly suggesting the rollout is just days away.

Which Devices Are Getting the Update

Verizon's changelog pages confirm Wear OS 7 is headed to the following devices:

Device Firmware Version
Pixel Watch 2 CP2A.260603.001
Pixel Watch 3 CP2A.260603.001
Pixel Watch 4 CP2A.260603.001

The original Pixel Watch from 2022 is notably absent from the list. Google's support page indicates the original Pixel Watch received updates through October 2025, which aligns with it not appearing here.

What Wear OS 7 Brings

Wear OS 7 is not a ground-up overhaul, but it is a meaningful update. Google announced the following changes when it revealed the platform update in May.

Live Updates bring dynamic notification alerts to the watch face and app launcher, similar to iPhone's Live Activities. The Tiles system has been reworked into a proper widgets experience, with support from third-party developers. The media player has been updated with a cleaner interface, and workout tracking for third-party apps has been improved with a new API.

The Verizon changelogs also confirm the June 2026 security patch and general performance and stability improvements are bundled in.

When to Expect It

Verizon listed all three updates as being released on June 9, but no rollout had started publicly on that date. The more likely scenario is that the carrier published the changelogs in advance of an imminent release. Given that the documentation is already live, the update could begin rolling out any day.

To check manually, open the Google Pixel Watch app on your paired phone, go to Watch settings, and tap Software updates.
