Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Full Specs Officially Revealed Triple 50MP Cameras, Dimensity 8500 Extreme, 6500mAh Battery Launching June 4

Motorola has done something unusual ahead of the Edge 70 Pro+ launch it has revealed almost every single hardware detail before the phone even goes on sale. The complete specifications appeared on Motorola India's official website and Flipkart ahead of the June 4, 2026 launch date, leaving only the price as the final unknown. Here is everything the Edge 70 Pro+ brings to the table.

What Is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+?

The Edge 70 Pro+ is essentially an upgraded version of the Edge 70 Pro that launched globally in April 2026. The standard Edge 70 Pro launched on April 22 in India at approximately ₹41,999 and is available internationally as the Edge 70 Pro. The Pro+ variant adds two significant upgrades over the base model a periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and 15W wireless charging while keeping the same core platform. For buyers who want the complete camera system and wireless charging flexibility, the Pro+ is the version to consider.

Display: 6.8-inch AMOLED at 5200 Nits

The Edge 70 Pro+ carries a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 2772x1272 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. It supports HDR10+, Pantone-certified 10-bit colour, Motorola's Water Touch technology for wet-finger responsiveness, and SGS certifications for reduced blue light and motion blur. An in-display fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication.

The 5,200 nits peak brightness is one of the highest available on any mid-range phone in 2026 and ensures the display remains perfectly readable under direct sunlight.

Processor: Dimensity 8500 Extreme With Serious Cooling

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The Dimensity 8500 Extreme is a performance-tuned variant of the standard Dimensity 8500, offering higher sustained clock speeds for gaming and demanding applications. A 4,600mm² vapour cooling chamber keeps thermals under control during sustained workloads one of the largest cooling systems found in any mid-range device in 2026.

The phone runs Android 16 with three years of guaranteed OS upgrades and five years of security patches.

Triple Camera System All Three Cameras at 50MP

The camera system is one of the most compelling aspects of the Edge 70 Pro+. All three rear cameras are 50MP a consistency that very few phones at this price level can claim.

The main camera is a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The secondary camera is a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus the autofocus capability on the ultrawide allows it to double as a macro camera for close-up shots without switching modes. The third camera is a 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom the feature that distinguishes the Pro+ from the standard Edge 70 Pro, which ships with only two cameras in most markets.

Video recording supports 4K at 60fps on the main camera. The front camera is a 50MP selfie shooter capable of recording Full HD video at 30fps.

Battery and Charging — 6500mAh With 90W Wired

The Edge 70 Pro+ packs a 6,500mAh cell a massive capacity that should deliver two full days of use for most people under normal conditions. Wired charging comes in at 90W, which fills a battery of this size quickly. The Pro+ also adds 15W wireless charging over the standard Edge 70 Pro, giving users a cable-free top-up option that the base model does not have.

Durability — IP68, IP69, and MIL-STD-810H

Motorola has stacked the Edge 70 Pro+ with multiple durability certifications. It carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings IP68 covers deep water submersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes, while IP69 covers resistance to high-pressure water jets. On top of that, the phone is MIL-STD-810H certified for resistance to drops, extreme temperatures, humidity, and vibration. The front glass is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Connectivity

The Edge 70 Pro+ supports 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC for contactless payments, USB Type-C, and GPS with multi-constellation support. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

The One Thing Missing The Price

Despite revealing virtually every hardware detail before launch, Motorola has held back the one piece of information most buyers want: what it costs. The standard Edge 70 Pro launched at ₹41,999 in India. Given the Pro+'s additions of a periscope telephoto, 15W wireless charging, and the more complete triple-camera system, a price somewhere between ₹45,000 and ₹55,000 is a reasonable expectation. The official pricing will be confirmed at the June 4 launch event.

Is It Worth Considering Over the Galaxy A57 5G?

The direct Samsung comparison at this price point is the Galaxy A57 5G at $550. The Edge 70 Pro+ has a meaningful camera advantage with its periscope 3.5x telephoto something the A57 completely lacks and its 6,500mAh battery outclasses the A57's 5,000mAh significantly. Samsung counters with six years of OS updates versus three on the Motorola, and One UI's broader feature set. For camera versatility and battery endurance, the Edge 70 Pro+ looks like the stronger value. For long-term software support, Samsung wins decisively.
