The Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 is expected to launch in the second half of 2027, with an announcement anticipated at Galaxy Unpacked 2027. No official confirmation from Samsung has been made. Key expected improvements include a battery life of 9 to 10 days up from the original's 7-day rating alongside a thinner and lighter physical design for improved comfort during all-day and overnight wear. Health tracking upgrades are expected across three areas: more precise skin temperature monitoring, enhanced sleep stage analysis, and upgraded cardiovascular sensors for improved heart rate accuracy. Blood glucose monitoring will not be included in the Galaxy Ring 2 but remains in development for future iterations.

Fast battery drain on Samsung Galaxy phones is most commonly caused by Always-On Display running continuously, 120Hz refresh rate set to Standard instead of Adaptive, location services and background scanning running for apps that do not need them, and Wi-Fi scanning plus Bluetooth scanning enabled even when both radios are off. Slow wireless charging is typically caused by using a non-Samsung-certified charger, a thick or metal-containing case blocking the charging coil, or the Fast wireless charging toggle being disabled in Battery settings. Fixes include checking Battery usage in Settings to identify drain sources, switching Always-On Display to Tap to Show or off, enabling Adaptive refresh rate, restricting location access for social media and background apps, disabling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning in Location services, enabling Adaptive Battery, using a certified fast wireless charger, and checking battery health in Device Care for hardware-level issues.
