Samsung has opened its annual Open Enrollment window for Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss, running from June 1 to June 30, 2026. This gives Galaxy owners a second chance to enroll eligible devices at regular retail price up to 16% cheaper than what the plan costs after the standard post-purchase window expires. Eligible devices include the Galaxy S25 Series, S26 Series, Galaxy S25 Edge, Flip 7, Fold 7, Watch Ultra, and Watch 8. Devices with existing damage are not eligible, and a Device Condition Check is required during online enrollment. The timing is deliberate. Samsung Care+ claims data shows summer months see 30% more accidents than the annual average making this the riskiest season for your phone. Here's what the plan covers. Unlimited repairs for drops, spills, and mechanical breakdowns are included. In the US, cracked screen repairs front and back cost $0 at any of 700+ Samsung Authorized Service Centers, with same-day availability depending on location and parts. Lost or stolen phones can be replaced as soon as the same day in the US. Support is available 24/7 online or by phone with no complex paperwork. Coverage also works internationally, with Samsung Authorized Service Centers available across major cities worldwide including London, Seoul, and cities across the Middle East. All repairs are done by Samsung Certified Technicians using Samsung Genuine Parts. Enrollment closes June 30. The offer cannot be combined with other Samsung Care+ promotions.

Samsung has been gradually moving away from the boxy, sharp-cornered Galaxy Note-inspired design that defined the Ultra series for years. The Galaxy S25 Ultra started this shift, and the S26 Ultra has continued it and despite backlash from longtime Note fans, it's the right move. Why the Note design ended up in the Ultra in the first place When Samsung killed the Note in 2021, partly due to a component shortage, it folded the Note's identity into the Galaxy S Ultra to keep existing Note fans happy. That meant carrying over the boxy design, S-Pen focus, and power-user DNA. Why it became a problem The Galaxy S and S Plus followed a rounded, modern design language while the Ultra looked like a completely different product. That visual inconsistency made the Ultra feel like a confused product rather than a premium version of the same family. The S-Pen argument has faded Better touchscreens, AI features, and improved shortcuts have made the S-Pen far less essential than it once was for most users. The market responded positively Despite loud fan complaints, the Galaxy S25 Ultra sold about 7% more than its predecessor after the design change. That number tells the real story. Where things stand now The S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra now feel like proper big-screen versions of the Galaxy S flagship rather than a Note rebranded. The design finally matches the family it belongs to, and the specs were always there to back it up.
