Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, carrying model number SM-F976B, has cleared India's Bureau of Indian Standards certification, marking a significant step toward its launch. The Ultra name for this device had previously been confirmed through a Bluetooth SIG certification. The BIS listing revealed no hardware specifications.

Samsung One UI, Xiaomi HyperOS, OPPO ColorOS, and Google Pixel UI all run on Android but are built around fundamentally different priorities. Samsung Knox provides a hardware-backed multi-layer security architecture certified for enterprise use, which exceeds what HyperOS and ColorOS offer, though Pixel UI's Titan M2 chip and direct Google security patch delivery make it competitive for consumer security needs. On software updates, Samsung and Google are currently the only two Android manufacturers offering seven years of OS updates and security patches for their flagships, while Xiaomi and OPPO currently commit to four years of OS updates. Bixby Routines in One UI provides native automation depth that other skins have not matched. One UI's main limitations are pre-installed duplicate apps, an overwhelming feature set for new users, and occasional delays in major update rollouts.
