Samsung has officially launched the One UI 9.0 beta, currently available for Galaxy S26 series users. The update is built on Android 17, bringing Google's latest platform improvements alongside Samsung's own additions. Key highlights include: Android 17 features a system-level contacts picker and Advanced Protection Mode for better security and privacy. Galaxy AI improvements refined and expanded AI capabilities building on what One UI 8.5 introduced. Quick Panel deeper customization options beyond what One UI 8.5 offered. Samsung DeX moving app windows between desktops is now smoother and more intuitive. Game Booster new settings added for a better mobile gaming experience. Since this is the first beta build, more features and refinements are expected in future beta cycles before the stable release rolls out to the broader Galaxy lineup.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus is a $249.99 budget Android tablet powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 on 4nm, featuring an 11-inch 90Hz TFT LCD at 1920x1200, 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, a 7,040mAh battery with 25W charging, and optional 5G connectivity. It ships with One UI 8 based on Android 16 and receives seven years of software updates. The strongest points are the capable chipset that competes with tablets nearly $100 more expensive, the long-term software commitment, and the option of cellular connectivity in the US. The biggest weakness is the outdated TFT display panel, which should have been upgraded to IPS and produces narrow viewing angles and washed-out colors. No physical fingerprint scanner, no S Pen support, and no wall adapter in the box round out the negatives. At $249 it is the best option in its segment by default; at closer to $200 with discounts it becomes a genuinely strong value.
