Google released Android 17 Beta 4.1 for Pixel devices enrolled in the Android Beta program on June 1, with build number CP21.260330.011 carrying the May 2026 security patch. The update fixes five confirmed bugs: status bar showing zero signal bars despite active connectivity, Quick Settings mobile data icon staying active during Airplane mode, external displays going black at high resolutions, Bluetooth audio going silent after system interruptions, and hearing aids being automatically forgotten from paired devices after inactivity or charging. This update is only for users still on Beta 4, not those on Android 17 QPR1. Beta 4 was described as the last scheduled beta. The stable Android 17 release is expected this summer, arriving on Samsung devices as One UI 9 with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 launch on July 22.

Samsung has partnered with Oslo's MUNCH Museum to add 37 Edvard Munch artworks to its Samsung Art Store platform, available worldwide from June 1, 2026. The collection includes well-known masterpieces like The Scream, The Sun, The Dance of Life, and Melancholy, alongside rarely seen works such as Garden with Trees and Two People at Table — pieces that have been largely inaccessible to the general public until now. MUNCH is the world's largest Edvard Munch collection, holding over 26,000 works the artist bequeathed to the City of Oslo. The museum's current building opened in 2021 on Oslo's waterfront and was purpose-built to house that archive. The collection is accessible through the Samsung Art Store app on compatible 2025 and 2026 Samsung TV models, including The Frame, The Frame Pro, Neo QLED, OLED, and Micro RGB lineups. The service covers 117 countries and hosts over 4,000 artworks from more than 50 major institutions including the Louvre and The Met. A 90-day free trial is available, though terms vary by country. This follows Samsung Art Store's earlier 2026 partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, continuing the platform's expansion of major institutional collaborations.
